Synchronized skating is a highly technical form of figure
skating characterized by speed, accuracy, intricate formations
and breathtaking transitions. Synchronized skating is performed
by teams of 8-20 athletes and incorporates aspects of singles,
pairs and ice dancing into a team sport.
Synchronized skating is the newest discipline of figure skating.
It began approximately 50 years ago and has now grown into a
competitive discipline, with athletes participating all over the
world. 2010 marks U.S. Figure Skating’s 27th U.S.Synchronized
Skating Championships.

Skating Requirements for the Intermediate Team:
Age Requirement: Under 18 as of July 1, 2010
Minimum Pre-Juvenile Moves-in-the-field Test Passed.
The Intermediate Division is a competitive USFSA level. The
Tremors Intermediate team competes at the Pacific Coast
Sectional Championships with the top 4 teams advancing to the US
Synchronized Skating Championships. Most of our Intermediate
team skaters are working on or have passed Intermediate moves
and we currently have 4 USFSA gold medalists skating on our
team.

Skating Requirements for the NEW Juvenile Team:
Age Requirement: Under 13 as of July 1, 2010
Minimum Preliminary Moves-in-the-field Test Passed.
Juvenile is a competitive USFSA level. The Tremors Juvenile team
will compete at the Pacific Coast Sectional Championships with
the top 4 teams advancing to the US Synchronized Skating
Championships.

Skating Requirements for the Open Juvenile Team:
Age Requirement: Majority Under
19 as of July 1, 2010
Minimum Pre-Preliminary Moves-in-the-field Test Passed.
The Open Juvenile is a developmental division competing at US
Sectionals.

Skating Requirements for the ISI Compulsories Team:
Age Requirement: none
Should be working on Gamma test or higher
The Compulsories division is a recreational division. Learn the
basics of synchronized skating, and have fun competing at local
competitions.
